Alan Moore
Director of Development, Apex Clean Energy

Alan Moore is the primary contact for Prosperity Wind. He has more than 15 years of experience working on the ground and in the field with growers, landowners, municipalities, and other private and public entities across the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and Midwest. Prior to joining Apex, Alan founded and operated a variety of businesses focused on the production, marketing, processing, and distribution of produce, dairy, and grains around the country. He holds a BA in biology and environmental science from the University of Virginia and an MS in environmental studies from the College of Charleston.


Emily Neuharth
Development Manager, Apex Clean Energy

Emily Neuharth develops wind and solar projects in Illinois and Indiana. Emily has experience in community outreach, political advocacy at a county level, public speaking, and education. Her Master of Public Health in Environmental Health made her aware of the benefits wind and solar energy could bring to our daily lives. Born and raised in the Midwest, Emily is passionate about bringing clean, reliable energy and tax revenue to the hard working folks of Illinois.


Ray Hoover
Public Engagement Manager, Apex Clean Energy

Ray Hoover is the Public Engagement Manager who leads Apex Clean Energy’s public and community engagement efforts for projects throughout Illinois. Though he was born in Carbondale, Ray grew up on the windswept plains of North Dakota where his community was devastated by a thousand-year flood. As his family and friends rebuilt their lives, he learned first-hand about the effects of climate change, but also the value of economic development and the impact of public service. Ray holds a degree in Political Science and Communications from St. Cloud State University and has more than 15 years of experience in government and as a community organizer for nonprofits and campaigns.

As a Public Engagement Manager, Ray works closely with local elected leaders, community leaders, landowners, and residents to gather local feedback, answer common questions, and work with communities to help realize their opportunities for renewable energy development. Ray lives in Minnesota with his wife Sarah and their cats, Pancake and Hashbrown.

Josh Hartke
Illinois Field Manager, Apex Clean Energy

Josh grew up on a farm near Effingham, Illinois, and graduate from the University of Illinois in 1997 with a degree in Economics. He has since been an environmental activist, a Champaign County board member, political organizer, and published author. He has had a lifelong commitment to the natural resources and beauty of his home state, and wants to help Apex build a new, clean energy future for Illinois.

Natasha Montague
Senior Community Relations Manager, Apex Clean Energy

Natasha graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before joining the Apex team in 2018, she lived in six different states to work for several political campaigns and non-profits. Natasha now leads public engagement for projects during the construction and operations phases. In her free time, she likes hiking with her hound, practicing aerial yoga, and cherishing moments at home with her new family.

Adam Carlson
Project Manager, Apex Clean Energy

Adam Carlson grew up in Paxton, IL (Ford County) where his family owned a corn and soybean farm. After studying at the Naval Academy, he commissioned as a Navy nuclear submarine officer in 2012. He is a proud husband and father to two boys and enjoys spending more time with family after his 8 years of service in the military. While working at Dominion Energy power plant, he continued his education at University of Virginia studying Systems Engineering. He currently  serves as the Project Manager for Prosperity Wind, making it the 3rd wind project he has worked on in the state of Illinois.

 

Kortni Pabst
Assistant Project Manager, Apex Clean Energy

Kortni Pabst grew up in Kansas and Iowa before studying Construction Management. She began her career in renewable energy as an intern in 2019, working for a leading infrastructure construction company. With her knowledge and leadership skills in Construction, she took on more roles as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, and Project Manager. Kortni has built 6 wind projects across 5 states. She currently serves as an Assistant Project Manager for Prosperity Wind while leading construction efforts for another wind project in Macoupin County.

 

Pat Cavanaugh
Site Manager, Apex Clean Energy

Pat Cavanaugh started in the Trades in 1996 volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.  After graduating high school in 1998 in  Indiana, he started working for a family owned electrical contractor and completed his apprenticheship in 2003. In 2009 he started started his career in wind while being a part of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). Pat has built wind projects in 17 states with roles including Journeyman Wireman, Foreman, General Foreman, OEM Site Manager, OEM Project Manager, OEM Continuous Improvement Team, and Rescue Trainer. He currently works for Apex Clean Energy as the Site Manager for Prosperity Wind. 

 

Colton Melton
Assistant Site Manager, Apex Clean Energy

 

Colton Melton was working on a ranch when a wind project started in his hometown in Texas. Being newlywed, he felt the need to find work that was more sustainable. Colton had always enjoyed building things and was intrigued by the wind turbines he had seen next to highways. That spring in 2013, he started his career in wind working for the BOP in multiple disciplines such as foundations, tower wiring and turbine installation. He later started working for a turbine OEM leading the installation process on project sites as well as aiding engineering on prototype development. Colton has worked on 26 wind projects, 15 of which he was apart of start to finish, in 9 different states. He currently works for Apex Clean Energy as an Assistant Site Manager for Prosperity Wind. He spends his off time working on his ranch with his darling wife and their 5 children. 

 

Lourdes Spurlock
Project Engineer, Apex Clean Energy

Lourdes Spurlock served in the Navy (operating nuclear reactors) for 6 years with two Mediterranean deployments during Operation Enduring Freedom. After her military service she worked as a Lead Engineer (mechanical/electrical), building and repairing nuclear aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines at the Navy Shipyard in Virginia for 9 years. After transitioning from Navy shipbuilding to renewable energry, she served as a Compliance Engineer for Apex Clean Energy. She has managed compliance for 12+ wind projects and solar projects in the U.S and Canada during the operational phase of the projects. She currently works as the Project Engineer for Prosperity Wind and engages with the local school districts in Piatt County to share her passion for STEM.
